CFD Simulation was done on a swimmer's hand. The hand was 3d scanned and then geometry was imported. Later it was meshed placed inside a wind tunnel and Steady-state simulation was carried out with air as a fluid having an incoming velocity of 15m/s. The pictures below Depict the velocity field inside FRI Black Bird Wind Tunnel and contours of cp and areas of high/ low wall shear stress on the hand. The Experimentation was also performed first and late CFD was used to validate the results.
